Our Volunteers and Supporters

At Connect Assynt, we are so very grateful for the support of our local volunteers, whether its as a trustee devoting their time to overseeing the work of the charity, as a volunteer driver or as a fund raiser. The drivers have all be given the necessary support to enable them to confidently drive the minibus.

We are members of the Community Transport Association and closely follow the guidance it has provided in relation to operating under the Covid-19 restrictions.  We strictly adhere to requirements needed in safely running the service to minimum the risks to both passengers and driver.   We always looking for more drivers to help share the "rota" so please get in touch if you are interested. Similarly, there are opportunities to help with funding so please contact us if you want more information on how you could help.

Aside from the ongoing crucial support from our passengers, volunteer drivers and membership, we have been fortunate to have received some recent financial support.  In 2019 we received small grants from Rabbie's Trailburners and  local employer Loch Duart and most recently we were awarded a Community Transport grant from Highland Council.

We also receive advice and support from the Community Transport Association as part of our membership and continue to maintain good links with other community transport providers in our region including Transport for Tongue and the North West Community Bus Association.
